‘They don’t like me’: Patrick Mahomes expects hostile reaction from Bills fans

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (15) runs off the field while shielding himself from snowballs after the Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills 27-24 during an AFC Divisional Round playoff game at Highmark Stadium on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, in Orchard Park, New York.

It’s been 12 years since the Chiefs have lost a game in Orchard Park, New York, but that’s not what rankles Bills fans.

The Chiefs have not only won four straight at Buffalo, but they’ve knocked the Bills out of the playoffs in three of the previous four seasons. That fact pains Bills Mafia, and they showed their frustration in January.

Following the Chiefs’ 27-24 win at Highmark Stadium in an AFC Divisional playoff game, quarterback Patrick Mahomes dodged snowballs from Bills fans when he left the field.

The good news for Mahomes and the Chiefs heading into Sunday’s game against the Bills is the forecast calls for a high of 56 degrees, so there will be no snowballs flying.
