Charlie Woods stunned everyone at the 2024 PNC Championship after he recorded his first-ever hole-in-one in front of his father, Tiger. The son of golf’s greatest ever player scored his maiden ace on the #4 hole at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando.
The PNC tournament has been a great family affair for the Woods’ as Tiger’s daughter Sam is also caddying for the pair. Tiger Woods and his son Charlie are currently leading the 2024 PNC Championship. They have never won this tournament before and will seek to break that deadlock this year. Charlie Woods has certainly put them in a strong position with his ace.

Internet golf sensation Paige Spiranac was among the other fans who reacted to Charlie Woods’ shot. She captioned the wholesome moment on her X and said:
“What a cool moment”.

The Woods family also shot a great opening round score of 59 before preserving their lead in Round 2. Tiger called it “another great day of family and bonding”. He also detailed the importance of this tournament for him as a father (via the PNC Championship):
“I had moments. That was one of the reasons why I had the surgery done earlier, so that hopefully I could give myself the best chance to be with Charlie and be able to play. I’m not competitive right now, but I just want to be able to have the experience again. This has always been one of the bigger highlights of the year for us as a family, and now we get to have that moment together again.”

Other celebrities playing at the PNC include Women’s No. 1 golfer Nelly Korda and her father, Petr. The USA Olympian apologised to her father for being more excited to play against her opponent Fred Couples instead of playing with her father.
Korda said (via the PNC Championship):
“This is such a neat and cool event to make lifelong memories, and that’s what we get to do, and for us to tee it up for a fourth time together, it’s been so much fun. I’m super excited to play with Fred Couples, personally, so sorry, Dad.”
She added:
“That’s the highlight of my week right now. I’ve seen his swing. I’ve never met him in person. Met him for the first time in person this morning on the range, and getting to see that tempo all day will be really nice.”
