The Buffalo Bills are coming off their bye week and getting set for the final six-game stretch of the season, beginning at home on Sunday night when they host the quickly-fading San Francisco 49ers. And with a win, the Bills will clinch their fifth consecutive AFC East title after the Dolphins were officially eliminated from division contention following their loss to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving. And while Buffalo is currently playing great football, they will continue to be shorthanded against the 49ers.
Tight end Dalton Kincaid has been ruled out for Sunday’s contest, marking the second straight game he is missing with a knee injury he sustained against the Indianapolis Colts. Head coach Sean McDermott says that wide receiver Keon Coleman, linebacker Matt Milano, and defensive tackle DeWayne Carter are questionable. Coleman and Carter are both dealing with wrist injuries while Milano is coming back from a biceps injury he suffered just before the season began. The All-Pro also missed most of last season with a season-ending leg injury and hasn’t played in over a calendar year.
Should the Bills still pick up the win despite their injuries, their focus for the rest of the season becomes the chase for the No. 1 seed and ensuring that the path to the Super Bowl goes through Buffalo
