“BILLS MAFIA TO HONOR JIM KELLY WITH STATUE OUTSIDE NEW ERA FIELD

The Buffalo Bills Mafia has announced plans to honor legendary quarterback Jim Kelly with a statue outside New Era Field. The statue, designed by renowned sculptor Tom Tsuchiya, will be unveiled during a special ceremony on October 15th, coinciding with the team’s home game against the New England Patriots.

Kelly, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, played for the Bills from 1986 to 1996 and led the team to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances. The statue will depict Kelly in his iconic throwing pose, with his jersey and helmet recreated in precise detail.

Bills owner Terry Pegula stated, “Jim Kelly is a beloved figure in Western New York, and we’re thrilled to honor his legacy with this statue. He embodies the spirit of the Bills Mafia, and we’re proud to have him forever remembered outside our stadium.”

The statue will be funded through a combination of private donations and team funds, with excess proceeds benefiting the Hunter’s Hope Foundation, Kelly’s charitable organization.”
