Golf Rory McIlroy has ignited a firestorm of criticism after suggesting that golf courses should be exclusive to ‘those who can afford it’ and that ‘public courses are ruining the game.’
In an interview with a prominent golf magazine, Mcllroy stated, ‘Golf is a luxury sport, and it should be treated as such. If you can’t afford to play at a high-end course, then maybe you shouldn’t be playing at all.’
