Woods, the 15-year-old son of the legendary PGA Tour star, made the first hole-in-one of his career. As is customary, when you make a hole-in-one, you’re supposed to buy drinks for the entire clubhouse.
“I’m broke,” Charlie said.
His father, of course, is not.
While the Woods family didn’t win the PNC Championship, they finished runner-up, losing to Bernhard Langer and his 24-year-old son Jason.
“That was the thrill of a lifetime to be able to have that moment with Charlie, make his first hole-in-one, [daughter] Sam on the bag, just our family and friends,” Tiger Woods said. “That’s what this event is about. It’s about bonding and family.
“I know we didn’t win, but it was the fact that we competed. No one really made a mistake out there. We had to earn it, and that’s what you want to have. Hats off to Langers. They played amazing.”

Paige Spiranac, a standout golf influencer who used to play professionally, had a four-word reaction to the hole-in-one.
“What a cool moment!” she wrote.
Charlie Woods, meanwhile, admitted that Sunday was the most fun he’s ever had on the golf course.
“It’s not even close,” Charlie said.
Tiger Woods will hopefully be back at full strength in 2025. He got surgery earlier this year, in part, so he could play in this tournament with Charlie.
“That was one of the reasons why I had the surgery done earlier, so that hopefully I could give myself the best chance to be with Charlie and be able to play,” Tiger Woods said. “I’m not competitive right now, but I just want to be able to have the experience again. This has always been one of the bigger highlights of the year for us as a family, and now we get to have that moment together again.”
