With the free agent signing of Joshua Palmer from the Los Angeles Chargers, the Buffalo Bills are a team with plenty of weapons on the offensive side of the ball for league MVP Josh Allen to work just fine with.

What’s wrong with one more weapon?

The Bills have a collection of star receivers across the board that have the trust of the league MVP including Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and a pair of tight ends in Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox.

What the team really needs, though, is a big-play receiver who can get downfield in a hurry. That’s why one outlet believes a potential trade work out between the Indianapolis Colts and the Bills.

For wideout Alec Pierce.

“The Colts may be hesitant to trade Alec Pierce due to his breakout role and potential, while the Bills recognize his capability to significantly enhance their offensive dynamics alongside Josh Allen,” BVM Sports wrote. “The situation signals a critical decision point for both teams.”

Pierce has recorded 110 catches in his first three seasons with the Colts as a former second-round pick. He has also added just under 2,000 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns to this point.

With Pierce still on his rookie deal, the Bills could bring him in with little cap concerns for a team with just under $5 million space currently.

But while a Pierce trade could be intriguing, it is unlikely at this time for a number of reasons.

At the top of the list is the fact there is only one ball to throw, and there are plenty of hungry mouths to feed on offense. A jumbled receiver room could be an issue more than a blessing.
