Dave Chisnall has sealed a double with his title at the Flanders Darts Trophy. By winning the Euro Tour tournament in Antwerp, he is also the new leader on the European Tour Order of Merit.
For Chisnall, it was already his eighth career Euro Tour title, and his second of the season. Earlier this year he also won the European Darts Open, while the Englishman was also successful on Belgian soil in 2022 by winning the Belgian Darts Open in Wieze.
Chisnall qualified for the Flanders Darts Trophy final by dealing with James Wade (6-2), Gabriel Clemens (6-2), Peter Wright (6-5) and Chris Dobey (7-5) in succession. He then won against Ricardo Pietreczko in the final 8-6.
After ten of the thirteen Euro Tour tournaments, Chisnall leads the rankings with 84,500 pounds. Luke Littler is now in second place with £78,500, while Martin Schindler is number three with £67,500. Luke Humphries completes the top four with 64,500 pounds.
Rob Cross retained his fifth spot on the PDC European Tour Order of Merit, while Josh Rock rose to sixth at the expense of Michael van Gerwen. Also in the top-10 are Peter Wright, Ross Smith and Danny Noppert. Pietreczko moved up to 16th position after his final place in Antwerp.
